All systems go for Amyak Maleh 2010, said the organizers of the weeklong fete in observance of the 15th Anniversary of the declaration of Mt. Matutum as Protected Landscape.

Silmultaneous display of streamers in Polomolok, Gen. Santos, Tampakan and Tupi will uncapped the opening of the weeklong celebration. An anniversary mass to be officiated by Fr. Freddie B. Paulo will be held at Tupi Municipal Plaza at around 3:00pm. By 6:00 in the evening matutum stakeholder will have a torch parade and motorcade around the Tupi's major streets, afterwhich the opening program will be held at Tupi Gymnassium and Cultural Center.

Opening Day will be capped by a fireworks display and "Musikahan sa Kalikasan." This year's celebration carries the theme: "Kilos Bayan: Huwag Magpatalo sa Klimang Pabago-bago." Expected to grace the opening ceremony are Gov. Daisy Avance Fuentes of South Cotabato province, Department of Tourism (DOT) OIC -Regional Director Jose N. Cabulanan, and RAquil Ali M. Lucam, Al Haj, DENR XII Regional Director.
